Thome began Friday morning's third session by defeating 12th-seeded Bryan Ortenzio of Pennsylvania, 2-1, in sudden victory. The Troy, Ohio, native then saw his NCAA run halted in his next bout when he suffered a 7-5 setback to seventh-seeded Aaron Schopp of Edinboro.
Stanley, who posted a 1-1 mark on Day One, dropped a 4-2 (sudden victory) decision to Binghamton's Cody Reeb in his first bout of Day Two. Gracey, meanwhile, lost a hard-fought match to Virginia's Nicholas Sulzer, 10-8.
