WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's track and field team shine at Villanova Open and the first day of the Penn State National Invitational.
ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
Field Events: Villanova Open
- The Black Knights' only competed in field events at the Villanova Open.
- Deb Majkowicz started the scoring by placing 17th in the long jump reaching 5.00 meters
- In the shot put it was Lauren Schultz who had a toss of 11.52 meters, placing 11th.
Track Events: Penn State National Invitational
- Army placed fifth in the distance medley with a time of 12:10.57 with the team of Andrea Karlen, Kate Sanborn, Haley Watson and Bethany Nunnery.
Field Events: Penn State National Invitational
- In the long jump, it was the senior captain Cori Lemere who placed 23rd with a distance of 5:02 meters.
- Kamryn Brinson had a top ten finish in the weight throw with a toss of 16.35 meters.
- Madeleine Schneider reached the height of 3.35 meters in the pole vault placing tenth.
