WARD'S WORDS
- Head Coach Kevin Ward – "It's not the way we wanted to finish, but as a whole we had a decent tournament. Our performance shows that we can compete at a high level. We have individuals that are capable of being national champions and we have a group of guys that are working their way to that level. We have a really tough team, but we can get a lot better. We need to finish matches with a killer mentality. When our guys embrace that killer mindset, we can really jump levels.
- "If we don't take that mindset into next week's duals, it could be a rough day for us. We have some really tough competition with two top-25 teams and a tough conference opponent. There will not be any easy matches for us, and we must be ready to fight for every point. It will be a good test and a tough challenge for our guys, and we are excited for that opportunity."
UP NEXT
- The Black Knights remain on the road and will compete at the Wyoming Duals on Friday. Army will face Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) foe American, 13th-ranked North Carolina and host 24th-ranked Wyoming.
