Men’s Tennis Caps Day with 7-0 Victory over UConn

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army men's tennis picked up a 7-0 victory over UConn on Sunday afternoon to cap off a 1-1 day. The Black Knights opened the day with a 4-0 defeat to St. John's.

Army completed a 7-0 sweep over the Huskies, with the Black Knights taking all three doubles matches before rattling off six-straight victories in singles action.

A.J. Woodman and Myles Conlin took the No. 1 doubles match 6-2, while Nikita Larichev and Diego Huttepain spun a 7-6 victory. Samuel Eden and David Gorshein closed out doubles action with a 6-0 blanking from the No. 3 spot.

Diego Huttepain leveraged back to take the No. 1 singles match. David Gorshein, Nikita Larichev, Nathan Jose and Anant Mundra took the No. 3,4,5 and 6 matches, respectfully while Myles Conlin won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2.
