Air Force Game Officially a Virtual Sellout
November 06, 2020 | Football, A Club
Despite the unfortunate news regarding the postponement of the November 7th Army-Air Force game at Michie Stadium, Army West Point Athletics feels it's important to celebrate and recognize the Army fans around the globe for their support of the Air Force virtual sellout.
While the game will not be played this Saturday, for the seventh consecutive time at Michie Stadium, the Army-Air Force game has SOLD OUT!
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restricting fan access to Michie Stadium, Army West Point Athletics introduced the Air Force virtual sellout on October 1st in hopes of keeping the sellout streak alive in 2020. Showing immense pride in the Army team, supporters from around the globe rallied to be a part of the Air Force virtual sellout. In addition to keeping the streak alive, supporters of the Air Force virtual sellout will receive a commemorative game ticket, 3x Army A Club Priority Points and will be entered in several raffle prize drawings. Raffle winners will be announced on Thursday, November 12th. An Army West Point Athletics rep will contact the winners via phone.
In total, the Air Force virtual sellout sold 40,694 tickets, generating $815,825 from 1,826 supporters as part of the Fight on to Victory Campaign in support of more than 1,000 outstanding cadet-athletes.
Established in October 2020, the Fight on to Victory Campaign will help Army West Point Athletics offset the projected budget shortfall, while also serving as a rally cry and inspiration for our outstanding cadet-athletes, coaches, staff, alumni and supporters around the globe.
