Black Knights Fall to #19 Penn

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In their fifth dual match of the season, the Army West Point wresting team fell to 19th ranked University of Pennsylvania Quakers 29-3 Friday night. Senior Sahm Abdulrazzaq put Army on the board with a decision.
How it Happened
The Black Knights fought throughout their matches against Penn for their fifth dual match of the season. Army's Sahm Abdulrazzaq put three points on the board for the Black Knights.
In the 184 weight-class #33 Abdulrazzaq went up against #32 Maximus Hale. Abdulrazzaq and Hale were scoreless after one period. In the second period the Quakers scored the first point with an escape. However, in third period the Black Knights tied everything up with an escape of their own. Penn had a 2-1 lead with one minute left in the period. Army fought back, and with 20 seconds left in the period, Abdulrazzaq secured a takedown giving him a 3-2 lead. Holding Hale off, Sahm Abdulrazzaq defeated Maximus Hale by a 3-2 decision.
