Army Defeats Bucknell 4-0 on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team (19-8, 4-2 PL) defeated the Bucknell Bison (10-12, 2-3 PL) 4-0 on Senior Day Saturday morning at Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Emma Sy, Paige Herremans, and Ylan Duong, each won their singles match.
How it Happened
The Black Knights took the doubles point. In the No. 2 spot, Julia Kelly and Jenna Sabile bested Tyne Miller and Anna Lajos 6-3. In the third position, seniors McKinnley Smith and Anna Loureiro secured the doubles point after defeating Madi Sebulsky and Caroline Marcus 6-2.
In the singles matches, the Black Knights continued to dominate the court. In the third position, freshman Emma Sy competed against Tyne Miller. Sy defeated Miller in two sets (6-2, 6-0).
In the No. 4 spot, Ylan Duong, defeated Bucknell's Abby Platt in two sets (6-1, 6-3). In the fifth position, sophomore Paige Herremans faced off against Kathryn Novak. In two sets, Herremans defeated Novak 6-3, 6-1.
