Heckel Jr. Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Team captain John Heckel Jr. was selected the Patriot League's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season after winning the Commander-in-Chief's individual title at Scottsdale National Golf Club.Â
Heckel Jr. carded a 13-under par 131 (64-67) to win the individual title at the Commander-in-Chief's (CIC) Cup by four strokes at the par-72 Scottsdale National Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. He finished with 10 birdies and three eagles during the 36-hole tournament, while his first-round score of 8-under par 64 was the best round by an Army Golfer since 2010. The Las Vegas native led the Black Knights to the CIC Cup Championship over Air Force and Navy by 13 strokes.
The Black Knights are back in action at the Kapolei Invitational in Hawai'i at the end of October.Â
