Manelis & Donnell Claim Patriot League Diver of the Week Titles

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point Swimming & Diving seniors David Manelis and Minh Donnell swept the Patriot League Diving weekly awards for the Black Knights after dominant showings in the opening weekend of Patriot League swimming & diving competition.
Minh Donnell, a native of Annadale, Va., claimed first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives on Thursday against Boston College with scores of 238.58 and 282.60 respectively.
She then earned first place in the women's 3-meter dive (295.43) and second place in the women's 1-meter dive (279.90) against Boston University on Saturday. Donnell's 1-meter score against the Terriers came within 20 points of the Army 1 meter program record - set by Lindsay Adao in 2008 at 298.57.
Meanwhile for the men, David Manelis, hailing from Pittsburgh, Pa., claimed first place in the men's 3-meter dive against Boston College with a dive of 294.95 and then earned another top-3 finish as he put up a score of 268.50 in the 1-meter dive to earn third place.
On Saturday against Boston University, he then claimed first place in the men's 1-meter dive with a score of 314.03 and earned second place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 296.25.
The honor marks Manelis' second Patriot League Men's Diver of the Week title of the 2024-25 season and the sixth time he has received the honor in his career while Donnell is collecting her tenth career Patriot League Women's Diver of the Week title.

The Black Knights will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 1st as they welcome St. Bonaventure to Crandall Pool at West Point, N.Y. for a dual meet with diving beginning at 4pm ET and swimming beginning at 5:30pm ET.
