Parker Claims Patriot League Volleyball Rookie of the Week Title

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point Volleyball freshman Michelle Parker earned the final Patriot League Rookie of the Week title of the 2024 season after an impressive performance in Army's Saturday sweep over Lafayette.
Parker subbed into the match midway through the first set and immediately began making an impact for the Black Knights – contributing to a double block for Army in her very first play on the floor.
The Suffolk, Va. native posted a team-fourth seven kills with only one error to hit a staggering .600 against the Leopards. She was a force to be reckoned with defensively as well, putting up a team and match-second three block assists across the three-set match.
Parker's input helped Army outswing the Leopards with 50 kills to the visitors' 26, a .361 team hitting percentage to Lafayette's .129, and post ten blocks to the Leopards' one.
