Volleyball Lands Four on Patriot League All-League Teams

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point Volleyball saw four players earn places on the 2024 Patriot League All-League Volleyball teams. Kingsley Wallace and Mackenzie Lynch represented Army on the All-Patriot League First Team while Juliette Myrick and Chloe Murakami claimed places on the All-Patriot League Second Team.
"These awards are well-deserved. All four of these amazing young women have worked extremely hard through the years without seeing the bright lights of the competition stage," said Head Coach Alma Kovaci Lee. "They have been selfless teammates and continually work towards being the best volleyball athletes and teammates they can be. In a world of instant gratification and immediate satisfaction, these young women represent what we should all strive to be. I have the utmost respect for and am extremely proud of Kingsley, Mackenzie, Juliette, and Chloe."
Army's four selections to the All-League teams is tied for the second most (Colgate) in the league behind Bucknell with five.
Kingsley Wallace – First Team All-Patriot League
Wallace put up career-bests in kills (283), hitting percentage (.257), digs (50), solo blocks (11), block assists (75), and total blocks (86) this season. She has led the team in kills and hitting percentage throughout the season and stands second on the team in block assists and total blocks. Wallace has logged 13 matches with 10+ kills with eight of those performances featuring 15 or more kills. Wallace stands sixth overall in the league for total kills and for kills per set (3.04) and is the only non-outside hitter to crack the top-10 in those categories. She also stands seventh in the league for total blocks and sixth in the league for total points (331.5) - one of only two non-outside hitters to rank in the top ten for total points.
Mackenzie Lynch – First Team All-Patriot League
Lynch has stepped up as one of Army's primary outside hitters with flare this season, logging career-bests in kills (255), assists (26), aces (11), digs (322), block assists (50), and total blocks (59). Lynch leads the team in digs and holds most digs in the Patriot League of all non-libero or DS players. She stands third on the team and ninth in the league in kills, and fourth on the team in total blocks. With Lynch's help, Army has outhit its opponents 1,228 kills to 1,171, posted a .194 team hitting percentage to their foes' .180, and notched 239.5 total blocks to their opponents' 186.0 total blocks.
Chloe Murakami – Second Team All-Patriot League
Murakami has been a stand-out six rotation outside hitter for Army this season, putting up career bests in kills (252), assists (19), aces (30), digs (241), solo blocks (3), and block assists (18). Murakami currently leads the team and is fifth in the League in aces, second on the team in kills and digs, and fifth on the team in assists. Murakami has been crucial for Army's lineup in key moments, delivering kills from both the front row and back row to tally average an efficient 10.52 kills per match this season.
Juliette Myrick – Second Team All-Patriot League
Myrick has recorded six triple-doubles over the season (the sixth most in nation) and logged career-bests in kills (167), assists (696), aces (20), digs (275), solo blocks (2), block assists (32), and total blocks (34). She currently leads the team in assists, is third on the team in digs, tied for third on the team in aces, fourth on the team in kills, and fifth on the team in total blocks. Myrick's totals rank her third in the league for both total assists and assists per set (7.33). With her assists, the Black Knights have out-hit their opponents 1,228 kills to 1,171 across their 25-match regular season.
