Men's Tennis Earns Pair of Victories Over Quinnipiac and LIU

WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point men's tennis (5-7, 0-0 PL) swept its doubleheader with Quinnipiac (2-7, 0-0 MAAC) and LIU (6-4, 3-0 NEC) on Sunday at Lichtenberg Tennis Center
The Black Knights registered a clean 4-0 sweep over Quinnipiac before besting the Sharks by a scoreline of 4-2. It marks the first two-match winning streak of the campaign for Army.
Marcus Sebastian and Alan Ton got the day started with a 6-2 win on court three against the Bobcats, while Samuel Haikal and Vishnu Bodavula clinched the doubles point with a tiebreak win on court one. Moving to singles, Jake Huarte logged the first victory for Army at flight two, boasting a (6-3, 6-1) scoreline. Ton got the win on court six (6-3, 6-1), before Haikal clinched the match for the Black Knights with a (6-2, 6-4) straight set victory on court four.
Returning against the Sharks, the doubles duos came through once again, with Haikal and Bodavula getting it done first at flight one (6-2) before Ton and Sebastian clinched the doubles point (6-3). Ton once again made quick work at flight six with a straight set victory (6-1, 6-4) before LIU got a win to make it a 2-1 contest. Haikal continued his perfect day with a (6-4, 6-3) win on court four, before a third set tiebreak win from Sebastian (5-7, 6-1, 7-6) clinched the match for Army.
