Women’s Tennis Postseason Run Concludes

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Army West Point Women's Tennis nearly completed a ferocious rally Saturday, but would fall in a decisive third set in the Patriot League semifinals to Navy, 4-3.

After dropping the doubles point and the opening singles match, the Black Knights took three of the next four singles matches to give themselves a chance at the team win.

Jenna Sabile and Emma Sy won in straight sets, and Vennmukill Mathivanan recovered from a second set tiebreak loss to take the third set 6-2 on the No. 5 court.

Army concludes the season 18-10. 29-year Head Coach Paul Peck moved into the West Point record books this season, earning his 543rd career win against Air Force February 17, moving into first place on Army's all-time wins list as a head coach at the Academy.

The Black Knights graduate one firstie, Carolyn Ahn.
