Serafine & Duffy Earn Patriot League Weekly Women's Lacrosse Honors

BETHLEHEM, PA - No. 21 Army West Point women's lacrosse juniors Lindsey Serafine and Brigid Duffy each earned weekly accolades from the Patriot League, announced today by the league.Â
Serafine was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week while Duffy earned Patriot League Midfielder of the Week as the duo helped Army earn a pair of convincing wins over Marist and Siena to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Serafine guided the Black Knights to a pair of wins this past week, recording a .625 save-percentage and allowing just nine goals. The junior made seven saves against Marist, including just three in the first three quarters, while allowing six goals and collecting four ground balls. Serafine ceded the final 2:02 to sophomore Anderson Strange. Returning against Siena, she shut out the Saints in the first quarter and made five saves with one goal allowed in the entire first half. She ended the contest with eight saves and three goals allowed.Â

Duffy posted 11 goals, four assists, 16 draw controls, eight ground balls and caused five turnovers as Army went 2-0 on the week. Duffy set Army's all-time points record in just the second game of her junior year at Marist, collecting her 182nd career point in game in which she had seven points, nine draw controls and five ground balls. Returning at home against Siena, Duffy matched a career-high with seven goals while causing three turnovers with three ground balls and seven draw controls. She also matched Army's all-time goals record with 131 with her seventh tally against the Saints. Duffy now leads the Patriot League in goals per game, points per game, ground balls per game, caused turnovers per game and is sixth in draw controls per game.
The Black Knights will return on Friday night in Boulder, Colorado, with opening draw against Colorado University set for 6:00 p.m. MT / 8:00 p.m. ET.
