Eicher and Pilate Named USA Lacrosse First Team All-Americans; Seven Black Knights Honored in Total

WEST POINT, N.Y. – USA Lacrosse announced its NCAA Division I Men's All-Americans on Thursday, recognizing the top players in the country in 2025. Army West Point saw seven players selected across the honored teams, including two on the First Team.
Attackman Jackson Eicher and defender AJ Pilate were named to the First Team. Short-stick defensive midfielder Christian Mazur and long-stick midfielder Christian Fournier earned Second Team honors. Goalkeeper Sean Byrne was named to the Third Team, while midfielder Evan Plunkett and faceoff specialist Will Coletti received honorable mention.
Eicher was a dominant offensive force for the Black Knights, being named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top player. The Warrenton, Va. native averaged 3.86 goals and 6.07 points per game, both ranking second in the nation. He set a new program record with 54 goals this season and moved into the top 20 of Army's all-time scoring list with 147 career points. He also ranks in the top 20 for career goals (95) and is tied for second in program history for points in a season (85).
Pilate continued his defensive dominance, earning his third consecutive Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award and his fourth straight All-Patriot League selection. He anchored a defense that led the nation in both fewest goals allowed per game (7.50) and scoring margin (6.71).
Mazur, a recent third-round PLL draft pick by the Maryland Whipsnakes, earned his first All-Patriot League honor this season, being named to the First Team. The Media, Pa., native collected 17 ground balls, caused 11 turnovers, and recorded a career-best six points (two goals, four assists), contributing on both ends of the field.
Fournier, also a 2025 First Team All-Patriot League honoree, was a steady presence in the midfield, leading the team with 37 caused turnovers. His 2.54 caused turnovers per game ranked third nationally.
Byrne, a junior goalkeeper, was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and earned First Team All-Patriot League honors. The Acworth, Ga., native led the country in both save percentage (.607) and goals-against average (7.50) for much of the season. He made 147 saves and allowed just 95 goals, guiding the Black Knights to a national-best scoring defense (7.50 goals allowed per game) and top scoring margin (6.71).
Plunkett contributed 14 goals towards 30 points on the season, ranking fourth on the team in each category, as well as picking up 16 assists, tied for the second most on the squad.
Coletti posted a .626 faceoff win percentage, the second-best mark in the Patriot League, winning 117 of 187 faceoffs.
