June 12, 2025 | Volleyball
WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point Volleyball and head coach Alma Kovaci Lee unveiled the Black Knights' 2025 season schedule Thursday afternoon.
The 2025 campaign features a 25-match slate, including 11 home contests, appearances at the Summit Hospitality Tournament and the Bryant Invitational, the annual Star Match against Navy on September 19 in Annapolis, Maryland, and a pivotal stretch of four consecutive conference home matches to close October and begin November, all leading up to the Patriot League Tournament starting Nov. 18.
"We are looking forward to the upcoming season," head coach Alma Kovaci Lee said. "Our current team is strong, confident, and ready for the opportunity to sharpen our skills with a challenging pre-season schedule."
The highlight of the non-conference schedule is the Black Knights' trip to Raleigh, N.C., where they will play in the Summit Hospitality Tournament. The Black Knights will take on host NC State, the program's first matchup with a Power Four program since 2023, as well as take on Akron and Green Bay.
"We are excited to compete against a Power Four program on their home court," Kovaci Lee said. "We'll also face opponents we don't typically see, which brings the added challenge of adjusting to unfamiliar styles of play. These are important experiences that will help us grow as a team."
Coach Kovaci Lee enters her 19th season as the winningest coach in program history with a 331-175 overall record, along with two NCAA tournament appearances, two Patriot League Tournament Championship titles and two Patriot League Regular Season titles.
Army will look to capture its sixth Patriot League Tournament title after narrowly falling to top-seeded Colgate in the 2024 championship match as the No. 4 seed.
The seven-time Patriot League regular-season champions will also look to secure their eighth title after finishing the 2024 season 16-12 overall and 10-6 in league play, placing fourth overall in the Patriot League standings.
"Our goal remains the same: To win the Patriot League regular season, earn the right to host the tournament, and advance to the NCAA Tournament, all while embracing the journey and building lasting relationships," Kovaci Lee said. "The Patriot League is competitive and tough, and so are we. We can't wait to be together again and get to work."
