Men’s Rugby Announces Fall 2025 Schedule
August 01, 2025 | Men's Rugby
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Men's Rugby head coach Matt Sherman has announced the 2025 Fall Schedule.
The Black Knights will play nine matches across the fall slate, including four fixtures at Anderson Rugby Complex and six Rugby East Conference fixtures.
"We're excited to take on this difficult schedule which not only includes the toughest conference in the country, but some very good non-conference opponents. We will be challenged and tested week in and week out, which is exactly what we want as we strive to reach our maximum potential as a team," said Sherman.
Army opens the fall slate September 6 against Canadian rival Guelph north of the border. It will be the third all-time meeting between the sides, with the Black Knights coming out on top a season ago at Anderson Rugby Complex.
The squad's home opener is set for under the Friday night lights at Anderson Rugby Complex September 12, against Walsh.
One week later Sherman's team hits the road again for its Rugby East Conference opener at Life September 20, facing one of the league perennial powers out of Marietta, Ga.
Army returns home to face Southern Virginia September 27 before heading south once more October 4 to see Mary Washington, the start of a three-match road stint.
In a rematch of Army's first round postseason win a season ago, the Black Knights will travel to Mount St. Mary's (Md.) October 25.
One week later, Army will face Air Force in Colorado Springs, with the 4:00 p.m. Friday evening fixture serving as a lead in for the Army-Air Force football game the next day.
The Black Knights finish the fall slate with two consecutive home matches, with Penn State traveling to West Point November 7. Finally, Army will host Navy November 15 as part of the Star Series presented by USAA.
The 2026 spring portion of the schedule will be announced at a later date.
