Football Hits Reset: Open Week Quick Hitters

WEST POINT, N.Y. — With an early-season open week on the schedule, the Black Knights have the chance to regroup, recover, and refocus before returning to action at Michie Stadium on September 20th vs. North Texas.

In the win last weekend, Kansas State's 3:01 in time of possession in the 2nd half was the lowest by an FBS team in the 2nd half over the previous 15 seasons.
The win over Kansas State marked Coach Jeff Monken's fourth win over a Power Conference program in his Army tenure.
The victory was Army's first true road win over a Power Conference program since a 21-13 triumph at Wake Forest on Oct. 29, 2016.
Andon Thomas' 17 solo tackles are the most in the country. His 11.5 tackles per game average is eighth best in the country.
Cale Hellums became just the second Army quarterback since 1995 — joining Bryson Daily — to rush for over 120 yards, score multiple rushing touchdowns, throw for a touchdown, and complete at least 60% of his passes in the same game. Daily accomplished the feat twice in 2024, against Rice and East Carolina.
Army's defense ranks first in the American Conference in 3^rd down conversion % allowed, only allowing opponents to convert on 3^rd down 29.6% of the time so far this season.
Army's average of 38:32 time of possession per game leads the country.
Cale Hellums' 41 rushing attempts at K-State set a new program record for most rushing attempts in a single game.
Sophomore WR Brady Anderson's 24.27 yards per reception average is second best in the American.
Army's starting quarterback has rushed for 100+ yards in each of the first two contests (Dewayne Coleman, 100 vs. Tarleton State; Cale Hellums, 124 at K-State).
