Men’s Tennis Kicks Off Fall Season with Army Fall Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team opened its fall season at home this weekend, hosting a number of teams for the Army Fall Opener, including Holy Cross, Hofstra, Marist, Stonehill, Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac.

Army played a total of 12 mock duals, which included six singles matches and six doubles matches. The Black Knights were split into two teams, Black and Gold.

"I am extremely excited about our play this weekend. Most of our guys had very little time on the court last summer and just one week of official practice last week. I am never concerned with competing, everyone we line up against knows we will play hard to the last ball but to play at the level we played this weekend was a very positive. I look forward to a good practice this weekend and back competing again here next Sunday with Hofstra and Monmouth."
