Men’s Rugby Heads to Pennenial Power Life University

MARIETTA, Ga. – Army West Point Men's Rugby heads to Georgia for its first Rugby East match of the season, facing Life University at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday at Lupo Family Field.

The Black Knights head into the match with a 2-0 record to start the season, beating Guelph and Walsh.
In its season opener, Army defeated Guelph in Canada 38-28. The Black Knights then recorded a dominant 59-3 victory over Walsh. Chance Loudenback scored three tries before the first half ended, as the Black Knights found the try zone nine times. After Walsh got on the board just minutes into the contest with a penalty, Army would rattle off the first of 59 unanswered, starting with its own successful penalties in the 9' and 16' before swiftly putting clear separation on the scoreboard.
Army is 2-5 all-time against Life with its most recent victory back in April of the 2021-22 season. Saturday's fixture serves as Life's season opener. The Running Eagles are coming off a 14-2 season, losing California in the 2024-25 D1A National championship. Life had previously dispacthed Army in the D1A quarterfinals, 18-17.
Army comes back home again next weekend to face Southern Virginia, at Anderson Rugby Complex, with a 2:00 p.m. kickoff Saturday.
