Men's and Women's Basketball Reveals Six Nationally Televised Games for 2026-27 Season
October 15, 2026 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point basketball will take the national stage six times in the 2026-27 season, with three national networks picking up six matchups, including CBS Sports Network, ESPNU and the Big Ten Network.
The six games include the Army men's basketball season opener at Duke, the men's final non-conference game against Rutgers, and both Army-Navy doubleheaders on Jan. 23 and Feb. 20, with the Army women's and men's teams each playing Navy on CBS Sports Network.
First, Army men's basketball will take on Duke for the third straight season on Nov. 2, with the game scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. ET first tip inside Cameron Indoor Stadium, set to broadcast live on ESPNU.
It'll be the second time in three years that the Black Knights will play a game inside Cameron Indoor Stadium, with the last time being on Nov. 8, 2024, when Army took on then-No. 7-ranked Blue Devils.
Then, on Dec. 20, Army men's basketball will head to Piscataway, N.J., and Jersey Mike's Arena to take on Rutgers to close out its non-conference slate. The game is set for a noon ET first tip and will broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
It'll be the first time the two teams have faced each other since Dec. 22, 2013, when the Black Knights saw a narrow 72-75 loss to the Scarlet Knights in Piscataway.
Army basketball takes the national stage again on Jan. 23 at Christl Arena in West Point for the first Army-Navy basketball doubleheader of the season. The Army women's basketball team, led by head coach Katie Kuester, tips off against Navy at 11 a.m. ET, followed by the men's team, led by head coach Kevin Kuwik, at 1:30 p.m. ET. Both games will air on CBS Sports Network and will be sponsored by USAA.
Finally, the biggest rivalry in sports takes center stage for the second time in Annapolis, Md., inside Alumni Hall on Feb. 20, with the games tabbed as the Star Games, which are part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA.
The women's team will tip off at 11 a.m. ET, and the men's team will follow at 1:30 p.m. ET, both on CBS Sports Network.
Men's basketball will aim for its first win against Navy since the Feb. 10, 2024, Star Game win. Last season, Army fell in both matchups against the Midshipmen.
The Army women's team will look to bounce back after dropping both meetings with Navy last season, 60-44 on Jan. 24 in Annapolis and 54-51 in the Star Game on Feb. 21 at Christl Arena. Before last season, the Black Knights had won seven straight meetings in the series.
The Patriot League also announced there will be two men's basketball wild-card games, with the first on Sunday, Feb. 21. The second flex game will be the final day of the Patriot League men's basketball regular season on Saturday, Feb. 27. The selection of flex contests will be made no later than 10 days before the competition date.
In the 2024-25 season, Army men's basketball's matchup at Bucknell on Feb. 23, 2025, was picked up as one of the CBS Sports Network flex games.
The Patriot League is now in its 24th consecutive year in partnership with CBS Sports Network, which is widely available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App by authenticating with select providers.
