Men’s Rugby Continues Home Dominance in Win Over Mount St. Mary’s (MD)
October 09, 2026 | Men's Rugby
WEST POINT, N.Y. – 71 and a third.
That's the number of points Army West Point men's rugby has scored per match at Anderson Complex this season. Even more impressively, its 66-8 win over the Mount St. Mary's (Md.) Mountaineers saw that average go down.
Army was in command the entire way Friday night, scoring in the opening minute, never trailing in the match and leading 38-3 at the break.
Julian Rowse made his first career start, Isaac Gamboa returned to the scoresheet for the first time since last season, and Richard Corbett III recorded his first conversions of the year in the first half before Barron Lankford scored his first career points right before the half.
The Mount added points four minutes after halftime, but couldn't get any closer as Army pulled away late for the one-sided win.
