Molly Webber Named 2026 Patriot League Women’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a stunning season in the water and in the classroom for the Black Knights, Army swimming & diving firstie Molly Webber earned the 2026 Patriot League Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year title with six total Black Knights recognized on the Patriot League All-Academic Teams as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Webber was joined by Angie McKane, Cora Webber, and Jenna Hart on the women's team while Alex Zhang and Joey Kling represented the Black Knights on the men's team.
To be eligible for the Patriot League All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Molly Webber, one of this season's team captains, is a Computer Science major who earned First Team All-Patriot League honors for the fourth consecutive season after helping Army's women finish second overall with 1,293.5 total points. One of the 2026 Co-Women's Highest Point scorers at the meet, Webber earned seven first place finishes at the 2026 Patriot League Championships and helped Army's women sweep the relay events at the Championship for the first time in program history. The senior from Morris Plains, N.J. became Army's first women's individual NCAA qualifier since it joined the Patriot League in 1994, the first woman in league history to earn four consecutive wins in the women's 500 free, and the first woman in Army's program history to earn three consecutive wins in the women's 200 free.
Angie McKane, a Systems Engineering major, earned six first place finishes at the 2026 Patriot League Championships to become one of the 2026 Co-Women's Highest Point scorers at the meet and earn the 2026 Patriot League Women's Swimmer of the Meet title. The Corning, N.Y. native helped Army's women sweep the relay events at the Championship for the first time in program history and became one of Army's first women's individual NCAA qualifier since it joined the Patriot League in 1994, punched her ticket the day after Webber punched her ticket. The Patriot League Individual champion in the 100 fly (51.34 – program record, meet record, pool record, NCAA cut),100 back (52.83), and 100 free (48.85) contributed to Army's women setting six league records as a team at the championship meet and was part of five program records, four meet records, and two Lejeune Hall records at the Championship meet.
Cora Webber, a Law & Legal Studies major from Morris Plains, N.J., has been a key presence for Army this season, tallying 18 top-three finishes over the season as a sophomore. The yearling earned four top-10 finishes at the 2026 Patriot League Championships including two top-five finishes with a first place finish in the women's 200 free relay (1:30.76) (program record, Patriot League record, meet record). Webber placed fourth overall in the women's 200 fly with a 2:00.61 – a time good for eighth all time in Army women's program history for the women's 200 fly.
Jenna Hart, a Biology major from Schuylerville, N.Y., earned 25 top-three finishes over the season as a sophomore including four top-10 finishes at the 2026 Patriot League Championships, highlighted by a first place finish in the women's 400 free relay (3:19.86). Hart earned a spot in the A-final for three events: the 100 back (6th – 55.24), the 200 back (7th – 2:00.07), and the 100 fly (7th – 54.27). Hart's efforts helped Army's women sweep the relay events at the Championship for the first time in program history.
Joey Kling, another of this season's team captains, is a Mechanical Engineering major who earned 24 top-three finishes over the season as a senior including 11 first place finishes. Kling earned four top-10 finishes at the 2026 Patriot League Championships, highlighted by three podium finishes and a first place finish in the men's 200 IM (1:44.45) (program record, Patriot League record, meet record). The Brea, Calif. native finished second in the men's 400 free relay (2:51.10), third in the men's 200 breast (1:54.88), and sixth in the men's 100 breast (52.96) at the league championships.
Alex Zhang is an Engineering Management major who has earned top-three finishes on the boards over his senior season. Zhang earned top-5 finishes on both boards at the 2026 Patriot League Championships with a fourth place finish on the 3-meter board (314.45) and a fifth place finish on the 1-meter board (302.50). Zhang qualified for the 2026 NCAA Zone Diving Championships earlier this season with a 304.95 on the 1-meter board.
