WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Athletics celebrated the great accomplishments of the 2025-26 season with the annual Black Knight Awards presented by USAA during graduation week at Eisenhower Hall on Wednesday.
The Black Knight Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of cadet-athletes, teams, and staff members across all of Army's athletic programs. The event serves as an opportunity to honor excellence in competition, academics, leadership, and service, while reflecting on another memorable year for the Black Knights.
Winners of each award were revealed at the event and leading up to it on social media, highlighting the performances and contributions that defined the 2025-26 season.
The Class of 1970 MacArthur Cup Athletics Award for Team of the Year was awarded to Women's Soccer. It is awarded to the Army West Point team that best exemplified competitive excellence, collective grit, and commitment to the values of Duty, Honor, Country. This prestigious award, endowed by the Class of 1970 in honor of General Douglas MacArthur's legacy, recognizes the team whose season reflected the highest standards of performance, leadership, and representation of the Corps of Cadets and the United States Military Academy.Â
Women's Soccer won the 2025 Patriot League Championship and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011. The Black Knights posted 14 wins, which was the third-straight year with 10+ victories. Sophie Henry (Rookie of the Year) & Brigid Duffy (Offensive Player of the Year) each capture Patriot League major awards.
