Anthony McArthur enters his fifth season on the strength and conditioning staff with the football team at Army West Point in 2026, serving as Conor Hughes' top assistant. Demonstrating his vital role within the program, McArthur was promoted to Associate Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach prior to the 2025 season.
Before arriving on the Banks of the Hudson, McArthur spent the 2021 season at McNeese State University, where he served as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant. In Lake Charles, he acted as the head strength and conditioning coach for both the women’s volleyball and women’s tennis programs, while simultaneously serving as an assistant strength coach for the football team, aiding in both in-season and off-season training programming.
Prior to his stint at McNeese State, McArthur spent the 2020 season at the University of Florida as a football strength and conditioning intern. He also gained valuable high-performance experience at EXOS Gulf Breeze as a performance specialist intern, where he assisted with training top-tier NFL Combine athletes and focused heavily on speed mechanics and player development.
McArthur earned his bachelor’s degree in health, leisure, and exercise science with a focus on fitness and conditioning from the University of West Florida in 2020. He later completed his master’s degree in health and human performance with a concentration in health promotion from McNeese State in 2022.
