Philippe Snoy joined the men's tennis staff at Army West Point in January 2025 as an assistant coach.
Snoy joins the staff after a two-year stint at Rider University, where he worked with both the men's and women's programs in Lawrence.
The Broncs saw immediate improvement with Snoy on staff, tabbing six more wins in the 2022-23 season compared to the previous campaign.
Snoy helped lead the Broncs to their first MAAC Championship appearance in 13 seasons in the spring of 2024. The berth was Rider's first since the tournament moved to a four-team format in 2011 and the Broncs' fourth-place finish was their highest in 27 years in the league.
In addition to his coaching, Snoy provided scheduling and strength & conditioning support to the programs while overseeing recruiting of prospective student-athletes.
"I am truly honored to join the Army West Point Men's Tennis Team as an assistant coach" says Snoy. "It is a privilege to be part of such a prestigious institution, working alongside dedicated athletes who embody excellence, discipline, and leadership. I look forward to contributing to the program's continued success and helping them become better student athletes."
Prior to his time at Rider, Snoy joined the collegiate coaching ranks with a season at Stevens Institute of Technology, working with both the men's and women's programs which saw them consistently ranked in the top-25 throughout his tenure.
Snoy's background in tennis coaching and instructing dates back to a three-year stint at Bedens Brook Country Club from 2016-18 as assistant tennis director, where he coached in both adult and junior clinics for the club. He joined Bedens Brook after spending three years as a High Performance Instructor at the Nassau Tennis Club at Mark Hill Academy in Skillman, NJ.
Snoy spent 5 years coaching at High Performance academies in New Jersey such as Marc Hill's Academy and Princeton Tennis Program alongside Glenn Michibata from 2013-2018.
"We are very happy and excited to be adding Philippe to our staff ahead of this season" said head coach Randy Rowley. "I look forward to him sharing not only his knowledge of tennis but also experiences in life to help mentor our athletes. I've coached against him during his time at Rider and know that he will make a positive impact on our program here at West Point."
He attended IMG Academy, playing alongside the likes Tommy Hass, Max Mirnyi & André Sa in his early playing career.
Snoy is a 2024 graduate from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
