He also led goaltender Sean Byrne, who ranked second-best in the nation with a .607 save percentage and finished with a 7.5 goals-against average to be named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and Third-Team All-American. The junior led the Patriot League and NCAA Division I in goals-against average and save percentage through the regular season, while ranking first among active career leaders with an 8.15 GAA. Lewis returned to the banks of the Hudson in the summer of 2023 after a three-year stint (2021-23) at his alma mater, Ohio State, where he served as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the Buckeyes. During his time in Columbus, he also served as the academic liaison and helped the student athletes set a program record for performance in the classroom.
He coached and helped developed multiple All-Americans while in Columbus, including Jack Myers (Second Team), Ryan Terefenko (Second Team) and Jackson Reid (Third Team). Lewis also coached and developed PLL Draft selections in each of his three seasons with the Buckeyes, including Ryan Terefenko and Tre LeClaire (2021), Jackson Reid (2022), and Jack Myers (2023).
In 2022, the Buckeyes scored a program record 14.1 goals per game under his leadership, which was ranked eighth best in the nation. He helped lead the Buckeyes to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2017.
In his first coaching stint with Army as a volunteer assistant coach, Lewis took over the faceoff group as well as the goaltenders. In 2020, he led goalie Wyatt Schupler to third-team All-American recognition.
Lewis came to West Point after coaching high school and club lacrosse in his home state of Georgia. He played an integral role in developing the sport of lacrosse in his home state and was inducted into the Georgia Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2024.
As the offensive coordinator for the Lambert High School boys’ lacrosse team in 2018, Lewis helped lead the Longhorns to their fourth state championship in nine years. The team finished with a record of 22-0 that season. Lewis was voted the GHSA Assistant Coach of the Year for this feat.

Lewis was voted an NCSA Strength and Conditioning All-American his senior season and was selected to play in the USILA North-South Senior All-Star Game upon graduation.
