Memphis Edges Army In GARC Tilt

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Army rifle team evened its record to 1-1 after coming up just short in a 4629-4626 decision at Memphis on Sunday. The Black Knights were coming off a win at Ole Miss on Saturday and moved to 1-1 in the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) after the opening weekend of action.
Army's aggregate score of 4626 came by way of a 2293 smallbore mark and a 2333 score in air rifle. The Black Knights out-dueled the Tigers in the latter discipline, but it was not enough to make up the difference.

The Black Knights are idle until their home opener against Coast Guard on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Tronsrue Marksmanship Center.
