WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army rifle team turned in a strong performance Saturday at Tronsrue Marksmanship Center, posting team scores of 2,315 in smallbore and 2,365 in air rifle for a 4,680 aggregate against Air Force. The Falcons recorded a 4,713-aggregate score behind marks of 2,338 in smallbore and 2,375 in air rifle.
Army placed four shooters among the top 10 in the overall aggregate standings, led by Ashton Arlington, who finished third overall with a 1,175 aggregate. Arlington fired a 582 in smallbore and a 593 in air rifle to lead the Black Knights.
Addison Antwiler followed closely in fourth place with a 1,172 aggregate, recording scores of 582 in smallbore and 590 in air rifle. Antwiler helped Army place two shooters among the top four overall finishers.
Nicholas Bull added a ninth-place finish with a 1,166 aggregate, while Barbara Forgues rounded out Army's top 10 performers in 10th place at 1,162.
The Black Knights also received standout performances in air rifle. Katelynn McEntee tied for fourth in the discipline with a score of 594, while August Hupf and Forgues each posted 591s to finish among the top eight shooters in the event.
Plebe Sarah Mohr competed in air rifle and recorded a score of 580, placing 15th in the discipline.
