PHILADELPHIA - The Army West Point men's track & field squad earned three top-10 finishes in the final day of competition at the Penn Relays, securing two top spots in relay events, joined by Lee Bares in the pole vault.
Bares posted a mark of 5.05m in the championship division of the pole vault, tying for sixth place. The freshman earned the spot vying against some of the nation's best as he continued to shine in his first collegiate season.
The team of Clyde Wilson, Patrick Taylor, Stevyn Spees and Jose Santana captured third in the 4x400m relay in the college division, crossing the line with a team time of 3:09.51.
The foursome of Dylan Chamberlen, Nathan Fisher, John Monday and Mitchell Dutton placed sixth in the 4x800m relay in the college division, recording a time of 7:34.67.
The Cadets wrap up competition at the Penn Relays, in what was their final tune-up before the Patriot League Championships on May 1-2. The conference's elite will descend on West Point for the two-day event, hosted at Shea Stadium.
