Women’s Rugby Begins Title Defense at Quinnipiac

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's rugby team will begin its title defense in the ACRA 7s tournament on Saturday as the Black Knights travel to Quinnipiac for the opening session.
Last season, the Black Knights defeated Norwich 22-7 in the championship game to claim the title for the first time in program history.
The Black Knights' open the tournament against Norwich at 11:20 a.m. before taking on Harvard at 12:40 p.m. and AIC at 1:40 p.m. In the fall, Army was a combined 6-0 against the Cadets, Crimson and Yellow Jackets, highlighted three wins against AIC.
Army is coming off a 9-5 performance in the fall that ended in a 24-19 loss to Quinnipiac in the National Collegiate Women's Varsity Rugby Association (NCWVRA) championship game in late November. In the 15s season, Lindy Clark returns as the team's leading scorer on 13 tries and 65 points.
