Golf Third after Two Rounds in Connecticut

STORRS, Conn. – With two rounds under their belts, the Army West Point golf team ranks third at the Til Duty is Done Collegiate Invitational with a two-under score of 285-293—578.
Marcus Plunkett leads the Black Knights with a one-under score of 70-73—143 to rank tied for eighth. Dean Sakata is also tied for the eighth spot with 143 strokes and a low round of 71.
Peter Kim is the Cadets' third-best finisher with 146 strokes to be one-over after the first day of competition. Eric Peng finished the day tied for 21st with a two-round total of 72-77—149. Nick Turner and Justin Pagila both competed to a t-24th finish with 150 strokes.
The tournament is named for Til Duty Is Done, a Connecticut-based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping military veterans with reintegration after returning from duty overseas. The aim of TDID is to reduce veteran homelessness and unemployment by linking and integrating existing organizations that provide education, employment training, employment, healthcare, mentorship and other supportive services.
The final round will begin on Sunday morning.
