NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's cross country team captured third at the Iona "Paddy Doyle" Meet of Champions Friday.
ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
"Our plebes were solid today. As I said before the meet, we are looking for consistency from what we see in practice and what we do in races, today we saw some of that. The two women (Nunnery and Coletti) up front ran together for most of the race and finished strong. I thought Ramsey and Karlen also competed well. We are making some nice progress with this young group."

Army will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh on Oct. 1.

- The Black Knights' top three finishers were from the freshmen class, as they continue to improve on the race course.
- Bethany Nunnery was Army's best finisher with a time of 18:41.6 as she placed ninth overall in the meet.
