Fong Leads Men’s Cross Country in Victory Over Maine

ORONO, Maine – For the second year in-a-row, the Army West Point men's cross country team defeated Maine to open the season on Friday.
The Black Knights won by the score of 20-37 to improve to 1-0 on the season.

- Robbie Santoyo placed fourth in his collegiate debut.
- Benjamin Petrella placed sixth in his first career race.

COACH's COMMENTS
- "Our guys ran well today and in particular I was please with how our plebes competed," commented head coach Mike Smith. "Robbie Santoyo and Ben Pertrella did a nice job fitting into our top five and Keagan Smith and Roman Ollar looked good. We had a plan for how we wanted to run and for the most part we executed that plan. I like where we are."
