Cadets Strive for Back-to-Back Wins over Navy

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's track and field team will look to earn the Star against Navy for the second year in a row at the indoor meeting at Gillis Field House.
The dual meet will start with the field events at 10 a.m., and the track events will get underway at 12 p.m.
Last weekend, the Cadets split going to the Villanova Open and the Penn State National Invitational. The Villanova Open was highlighted by Lauren Schultz who had a toss of 11.52 meters in the shot put.
At Penn State, yearling team captain Abby Halbrook won gold in the Mile while plebe Samantha Coletti captured gold in the 1000m run.
Cow Briyah Brown won her second straight Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week and was joined by plebe Bethany Nunnery who won Rookie of the Week following their performances at Villnova. Brown was third in the shot put and fourth in the weight throw with Nunnery taking first in the 5000 with a time of 17:45.93 that ranked second in the Patriot League and 35th-fastest in the nation.
