Army Starts Spring Break at UC Santa Cruz

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team travels to the West Coast for spring break Saturday as the Black Knights take on UC Santa Cruz.
The action will kick off at 11 a.m., Pacific Time (2 p.m., ET).
The Cadets enter the match with a record of 9-6 on the season.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cadets swept last weekend with 4-0 wins over Fordham and St. Bonaventure.
Against the Rams, the doubles points came from Sam Lampman and Michael Sienko at the No., two flight and Myles Conlin and Nikita Pereverzin at the No., three flight with 6-3, 6-1 victories, respectfully.
The Cadets won the singles points with Michael Nguyen at No., one (7-6, 6-1), Conlin at No., three (6-2, 6-1) and Anant Mundra at No., six (6-2, 6-3) flights.
Against the Bonnies, the doubles point came from Nguyen and Grant Riechmann at the No., one slot with a 6-3 win and Conlin and Mitchell in the No., three slot with a 6-1 victory.
The singles points were earned at the No., two flight by Riechmann with a 6-3, 6-4 victory, the No., five flight where Sienko had a 6-2, 6-1 win and with Mundra in the No., six flight with a 6-0 two set sweep.
First-year Myles Conlin was also named the Patriot League Corvais Player of the Week for his two straight set win at No. three singles and his undefeated run at No. two and three doubles.
SCOUTING UC SANTA CRUZ (4-3)
In their last outing the Banana Slugs captured a 5-4 win over Point Loma. The scoring started with the doubles points as their No. one and No. 3 flights received victories. Their singles wins came at the No. three, four and five slots.
UP NEXT
The Black Knights will continue their West Coast tour as they take on Saint Mary's and UC Santa Clara on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2 and 3 p.m. Pacific Time, respectively.
