Army Readies for Navy Match on Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The 10th-ranked Army West Point men's rugby team will host its service-academy rival Navy on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m.

ARMY (10-2, 7-1 Rugby East)
• The Black Knights return home for their first match at the Anderson Rugby Complex this spring after spending last weekend in California.
• Army went 1-1 on that trip, defeating UCLA 45-19 on Thursday before dropping a 22-15 decision to then No. 10 San Diego State.
• On the season, rookie Jon Kim leads the team with 157 points, 40 conversions and 19 penalty kicks, all of which are varsity career bests.
• Junior Jake Lachina has powered Army's offense with 15 tries as the only Cadet to start in 11 matches this season.
• The offensive unit is scoring at a pace of more than 46 points per match.
• Defense has been one of the staples for the Black Knights this year, allowing less than 12 points per match.
NAVY (8-4)
• The Midshipmen posted four wins in both the fall and spring seasons, and are currently riding a four-match winning streak.
• They defeated the Glendale Raptors (40-17), Clemson (15-10), Norfolk Blues (33-29) and Dartmouth (29-0).
• Navy's lone loss of the spring came at the hands of Penn State, 60-36.
• The Mids are averaging 31.167 points per match, while allowing 22.083 points on average.
