WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's track and field team will compete in the two-day Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell over the weekend.

Briyah Brown took the title in the shot put with a throw of 15.15 meters
Cori Lemere placed 11th out of 59 in the 100 meter dash (12.70) and 16th out of 44 in the long jump (5.34 meters).

LAST TIME OUT

Army had a strong start, but eventually fell to the Mids 105-98 on Saturday.
On the track, Yasheika Beckaroo captured gold in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.95s. Fellow classmate Calli McMullen was atop the podium in the 200-meter dash clocking 26.16s. In the 800-meter run, Cassie Mundekis placed first crossing the finish line in 2:13.86. Sophomore captain Abby Halbrook won the 5000-meter with a time of 17:44.81. The 4x100 meter relay team of Beckaroo, McMullen, Emily Malone and Whidney Desormo stood atop the podium with a time of 4:00.52.
For the field events, Tya'tianna Johnson placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 11.36 meters. In the shot put, Brown was atop the podium with a toss of 14.49 meters. First-year Kamryn Brinson captured gold in the hammer throw with a distance of 50.28 meters.
