"We took a small group to compete at Princeton this weekend. The distance runners highlighted last night and the sprints and hurdles were our main events today. We had some nice performances across the board and some really strong competitive efforts. The competition at this meet was pretty stiff so we had to fight to make finals and win events. While we did not have all that many improvements on our season best marks we did have a few significant results worth highlighting."
Cassie Mundekis put together a solid 800-meter race. She is slowly inching her way toward our school record. Her confidence is growing and that will serve her well in the coming seeks. Coletti eclipsed our school record in nthe steeplechase. We could see that result coming for a few weeks so it was nice to see her put together a more aggressive race. Mooradian was solid for us once again. She is setting herself up for a nice breakthrough in both hurdle races sometime soon. All in all we faced a higher level of athlete this weekend and I thought our people raised their game to a new level. We are relying on freshmen an dsophomores in most events and they are making the right competitive adjustments at the right time of the year. Now we can go have some fun at the Penn Relays and they test our fitness at the conference championship in two weeks."
UP NEXT:
The Black Knights will compete in the Penn Relays April 27-29.
