Black Knights Return Home for West Point 7s Invite

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's rugby team begins its 7s season by hosting the West Point 7s Invitational this weekend at the Anderson Rugby Complex.

ARMY
• Army is competing in its first 7s tournament of the season.
• Last spring, the Black Knights posted a 4-2 mark at the Collegiate Rugby 7s Championships in Chester, Pa., while capturing the Bowl Championship.
• Torran Raby tied for the most tries in the tournament with three, while Jake Lachina and Luke Heun each dotted down twice last 7s season.
• In 15s this year, Jon Kim led the Black Knights with 186 points on four tries, 50 conversions and 22 penalty kicks.
• Lachina led the Black Knights with 15 tries on the season, followed by Jeff Malm-Annan and Andy Sullivan who each scored nine times.

THE FIELD
• Five teams are competing in this weekend's tournament: Army, New England College, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Temple.
• The Black Knights are the only team with two teams in the tournament.
