- Ana Oglivie posted 16 digs in the five-setter and added four service aces for a career-high.
- Carolyn Bockrath led Army's offensive group with 17 kills on 30 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage.

- The Cadets held a 72-57 advantage in kills over Central Michigan and led in services aces (12-5) and digs (83-74).
- Haven Bethune split time at the setter position and posted 26 assists and a pair of kills.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Chippewas claimed sets one, three and five from the Black Knights. In set two, the Black Knights started off strong and closed it out with a 12-4 run. Oglivie's two aces bookended a kill by Horace to clinch.
- The fourth set was all about the Cadets who only allowed Central Michigan 14 points.
- The Black Knights led 14-6 before they really picked up the momentum. Points from Wesley, Bethune, Pickell and Lum padded Army's lead at 19-7 and a block by Wesley brought the Cadets to a 20-8 lead.
- Central Michigan staged a comeback late in the set with three straight points, but a dump by Bethune clinched it for Army 25-14.
- The fifth set featured much back-and-forth action. The Chippewas reached the eight point mark first, but didn't lead long as Strong came through with a critical kill.
- Army and Central Michigan traded points before Pickell notched back-to-back kills to give Army an 11-9 lead. The Chippewas called time out and came back to lead 12-11 before a timeout by the Cadets.
- Central Michigan went on a 6-1 run to secure the match and the tournament title.
TURNING POINT
- The Chippewas' 6-1 run to close-out the fifth set secured them the win.
