Black Knights Fall to FDU 2-1

WEST POINT, N.Y. – A pair of late goals helped push Fairleigh Dickinson past the Army West Point men's soccer team, 2-1, on Monday night in Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.
The Black Knights were defeated for the first time this season and fell to 3-1 on the year, while Fairleigh Dickinson improved to 4-0 with the win.
Army got on the board first in the second half, but two scores by FDU in the final 10 minutes of action propelled the Knights to the victory.

- FDU evened the all-time series with the Black Knights 2-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 32nd minute, Army was in front of the FDU net and put back-to-back shots on goal, but both were denied by the Knights' keeper.
- After their first shot on goal in the second half was sent away, the Black Knights kept at it and eventually broke through in the 66th minute when O'Shea came charging to the ball after an Epps' shot was blocked and put it away to give Army the 1-0 edge.
- The shutout remained intact as the Army defense limited the Knights to two shots over the first 35 minutes of the second stanza.
- In the 82nd minute, Fredinho Mompremier found a cutting Jacob Labovitz and he buried a shot into the back of the net to help FDU knot the score up at one.
- With a minute and 30 seconds left to play, Mompremier was battling an Army defender in the left corner and after warding him off, took aim at the net and scored the game-winning goal.

- The Black Knights will return to action when they head west to take on Air Force on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
