COLORADO SPRINGS, Cold. — The Army West Point women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road to service academy rival Air Force on Saturday night.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but had to be moved due to inclement weather.
The Falcons netted all three goals in the first half to secure the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Air Force scored in the 10th minute on a breakaway to the goal.
- Then in the 25th minute, the Falcons scored on tic-tac-toe ball movement off a free kick.
- The Falcons' final goal of the contest was scored in the 39th minute to give Air Force the 3-0 lead.
- Mia Padon drilled the cross bar with 56:56 on the clock.
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- The Falcons improve to 3-1-0 on the year, while Army falls to 2-2-1.
- Army outshot Air Force 11-10 in the game.
- Padon led the Cadets with three shots.
- Sydney Cassalia made a season-high four saves in the contest.
