Men’s Tennis Edged by Purdue, 4-3

WEST POINT, N.Y. –Army men's tennis fell in a close battle with Purdue on Sunday afternoon, 4-3.

"Very tough match today," said head coach Jim Poling. "We had a couple of match points at two to win the doubles point. Our guys fought hard. Again, our four, five and six guys were lights out."

In doubles action, Samuel Eden and David Gorshein earned a 6-3 win at No. 3, but Purdue earned the doubles point.

Army was dominant in the four, five and six bouts. A.J. Woodman earned a three-set win at No. 4. Also earning a three-set win was Eden. Lake was strong in the No. 5 matchup, as he won in straight-sets, 6-1, 6-0.
