Women's Tennis Defeats St. Bonaventure, Falls to NJIT

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army women's tennis swept the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 4-0 and fell to the NJIT Highlanders by a score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon. The Black Knights next host Wagner on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.

MATCH 1: ARMY 4, ST. BONAVENTURE 0

Army won the doubles point as it took the No. 1 and No. 2 matchups with the third bout going unfinished. Ana Joyner and Sam Dimaio defeated St. Bonaventure's Penelope Abreu and Andrea Roque, 6-2. In the No. 2 meeting, Paola Bou and Sophie McKenzie knocked off Amelia Haley and Emily Stanley, 6-1.

In singles action, Bou picked up a win in the No. 2 bout, defeating Haley by a score of 6-1, 6-1. At No. 3, Dimaio picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win over Roque. Army's fourth point came from McKinnley Smith as she knocked off Kahlei Reisinger, 6-1, 6-0.
