Women's Tennis Improves Win Streak to Three with 4-0 win over Quinnipiac

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army women's tennis capped off a successful weekend with a 4-0 win over Quinnipiac University. This is the Black Knight's third straight nonconference win and 12thtotal win of the season, with only two matches left before entering conference play. The team will travel to Claremont, Fla. over spring break for two contests against CMS and Pomona.

The Black Knights started with a three-match sweep in doubles play to give the team a quick 1-0 lead headed into singles. The dynamic duo of Paola Bou and Sophie McKenzie opened up the day with a strong 6-1 win over Kamilla Nella and Dominique Vasile. Ana Joyner and Sam DiMaio continued the success in the No. 2 bout with a close 6-4 matchup to secure the doubles point. Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent capped off the shut out with a 6-3 win.
The winning lineup for the Black Knights in singles play came from Hannah Boubel, Joyner and Pidgeon. Boubel was the first to claim a victory with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jordan Bradley in the fifth spot. Joyner then marked her dominance in singles play as well, holding Nella to only two total points between both matches (6-2, 6-0). MaryJo Pidgeon was the clinching point for the Black Knights in the No. 6 bout, moving past Amy Zammarieh 6-3, 6-1.
