- She was also a close second to teammate Sammie Edwards in the 100-yard freestyle event, rounding out an impressive overall performance from one of last season's First Team All-Patriot League selectees.Â
- With her best academic semester to date, Madison earned a 3.45 GPA as a Psychology with Honors major this past fall.Â
- Named an Academic All-Patriot League member last year, Madison's past two semesters have been her best at West Point despite significant adjustments due to COVID-19 since March, 2020.Â

Hockey
Mason Krueger '21
- Cadet Mason Krueger, a firstie forward on the Army Hockey team, has proven himself as a top scholar athlete and leader this season. As one of the senior leaders on the hockey team, he has done an outstanding job demonstrating to his teammates how to balance academics with the Hockey team's grueling travel schedule and the challenges of COVID.Â
- After compiling 19 goals over the past two years, Mason opened the season as the center for the first line of Black Knight offense.Â
- Leading from the front on the first line of offense, he has one of the highest compiled ice times on the team and is on the ice for the most critical parts of the game. He is trusted as a backbone of the Army offense.Â
- His activity on the scoreboard is crucial for the team, but his leadership on special teams is critical to the team's success. Mason plays the game aggressively and is always contributing.Â
- Mason is excelling in academics as well. This term, he has an impressive 3.56 APST while finishing up the more difficult classes of his Systems Engineering major and performing his role on the team.Â
- The Head Officer Representative, LTC Corey James, refers to him as "an outstanding leader setting the right culture for our team this fall, especially in the uncertain environment created by COVID".
- Mason is not just a scholar athlete, but he excels in the military pillar as well.Â
- He maintains a Military Cumulative Grade greater than 3.0 despite spending very little time in his company area due to the rigors of hockey.Â
- Army Head Coach Brian Riley, Mason's teammates, and the Officer Representatives also recognize his ability to stand out as a leader. He displays that in the classroom, on the ice, and in the company area.
