All Roads Lead to Home
- The Black Knights return home to kick off the second half of their 2021 slate after a pair of road games separated by a bye week.
- Army will continue its schedule after dropping a 20-14 result on the road at Wisconsin.
- This weekend, the Cadets will look to add to their home winning streak, which currently sits at 13 games.
- The stretch is the fifth-longest active home-game winning streak in the NCAA and has been fueled by recent victories over Western Kentucky (38-35; Sept. 11), UConn (52-21; Sept. 18) and Miami (OH) (23-10;Â Sept. 25).
- Along with Saturday's contest, Army will have two additional chances to add wins at Michie Stadium as the team is set to take on both Bucknell (Nov. 13) and UMass (Nov. 20) at home.
- The Demon Deacons will be the first ranked opponent to make the trip to Michie Stadium since No. 4/5 Stanford did so in 2013. The Cadets dropped a 20-34 result against the Cardinal.
Last of the Hard
- While the team prepares to take on its first ranked opponent of the 2021 season, a look at the national statistics rankings shows that Army is up for the challenge.
- As a team, the Black Knights lead the nation in numerous categories including time of possession (38:11), fewest penalties (21) and blocked punts allowed (zero). Additionally, the Cadets check in at second in things like blocked kicks (four) and rushing offense (295.0).
- With his performance in Madison, Andre Carter II regained his standing as the nation's leader in sacks. The outside linebacker's 8.5 are the third-most in the program's single-season history. Josh McNary holds the record with his 12.5 from 2009.
- Through six games, Army's offense is averaging 31.00 points per outing while its defense has given up just 20.67 per game.
- Ten different players have scored touchdowns for the Cadets this season. Anderson leads the way with five and is one of seven Black Knights that have found the end zone more than once: Jakobi Buchanan (four), Tyrell Robinson (four), Tyhier Tyler (three), Anthony Adkins (three), A.J. Howard (two) and Braheam Murphy (two).

A Date with Destiny
- Oct. 23 has proven itself to be a somewhat auspicious date for Army Football, as the team is 11-5 all-time on the date since 1897.
- The 11 triumphs include four shutouts, a road win at No. 12 Cornell (27-6, 1948), and a victory against ACC foe Virginia (14-9, 1971).
- The Cadets are 8-3 in games that have been played at Michie Stadium on Oct. 23 and have outscored opposing teams 260-126 in those outings.
Series History
- This will be the 17th meeting in the history between the Black Knights and the Demon Deacons, which dates back to 1945.
- Of the 10 non-Academy teams on Army's 2021 docket, Wake Forest is the program that the Cadets have the most history with.
- The Demon Deacons enter Michie Stadium with an 11-5 all-time advantage over Army, which includes a 5-4 mark on Blaik Field.
- A win today would be Army's second-straight over Wake Forest, as the Black Knights earned a 21-13 victory in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Oct. 29, 2016.
- Ultimately, the result was powered by a 14-point effort that the Black Knights put up in the fourth quarter
The Demon Deacons at a Glance
- Wake Forest is coming off a bye week, which the team used to recover after starting off its campaign 6-0 (4-0 ACC).
- This is the second time in program history that the Demon Deacons have started off a season 6-0 (1944) and it's their first-ever 4-0 start in ACC play.
- In its most recent outing, the team picked up a 40-37 overtime victory while on the road at Syracuse.
- Wide receiver A.T. Perry caught a trio of touchdown passes, including the overtime game-winner, to boost the Demon Deacons to the win. Under center, quarterback Sam Hartman recorded his second-straight 300-yard passing game and his third three-touchdown game of the year.
- The outing at Syracuse bumped the team up in the Associated Press and Amway Coaches Poll, extending the team's streak of being ranked to three-straight weeks. Wake Forest was slotted 16th, the program's highest ranking since 2008. The Demon Deacons have not checked in to the top-14 since 1947.
