COACH'S CORNER
"We finished about where I thought we would today. We have run pretty well in these types of races this year and today most of the guys got out into the race but we were unable to attack effectively over the last half. We expected the weather to have an impact on the outcome and to a certain extent the wind and the rain slowed things down. We had hoped to keep our pack together longer but we lost contact with each other and couldn't regroup. I thought Garrett and Marshall did well to move up throughout the race. They were back pretty far early and had to weave through a lot of guys to get as far up as they did. Our other guys' effort was pretty good out there but most of them were running in their first 10k and our inexperience showed. There were some good lessons today that we can build on going into the track season." – Mike Smith
