Army Tops Lehigh to Advance to Patriot League Title Match

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Army West Point men's tennis is headed back the Patriot League Championship match.
Second-seeded Army bested third-seeded Lehigh, 4-2, in the Patriot League Semifinal on Saturday to advance to the league title game, where it will take on Navy.
The Black Knights claimed the doubles point with the pairing of AJ Woodman and Thomas Lake winning 6-3 in No. 1 doubles. On the second court, Diego Huttepain and Sam Eden won their matchup 6-4.
Huttepain bested Lehigh's Zack Elliot in two sets in No. 1 singles to give Army the 2-0 advantage. Lehigh cut the Black Knights' lead to one claiming No. 6 singles. The next match to finish was on court four with Sam Eden topping his opponent in two bouts to make it 3-1 in favor of Army. Lehigh won in No. 2 singles to again make it a one-point contest. David Gorshein clinched the win for the Black Knights on court five. After dropping the first set 6-2, he earned a 6-2 and 6-3 victory.
